Hello. I am Kim Kyung-jin, CEO of Baystate Asset Management.
Baystate is an asset manager that handles assets with different cycles and risk structures — from domestic equities to mezzanine, NPLs, and real estate. We hold licenses for private collective investment, institutional-only PEF GP, investment advisory, and foreign exchange business. This breadth is not for the sake of more categories — it is to take as our operating starting point the fact that no single market phase affects all assets in the same way.
What we most caution against in operations is conviction. In fast-conviction markets, risk is recognized last. Baystate separates analysis → decision → review → execution, with independent verification at each stage. Over compelling slogans,, consistent principles we trust more.
We manage client assets with fiduciary responsibility as our framework. Rather than offering standardized products, we begin by asking about the volatility tolerance and time horizon each client can bear. Refining the path of assets on top of that conversation — that is what we believe asset management is.
